Knee Fracture Arthroscopy

Knee arthroscopy is a procedure, need a tiny camera to see inside your knee. For this procedure, small cuts are made to insert a camera and small surgical tools inside the knee. It’s a minor surgery and is done on an outpatient basis, which means you can go home on the same day you had surgery. Remember, your doctor will give you general anesthesia at the time of procedure( you will be asleep at times of surgery) this anesthesia can be given through the spine. After diagnosing your condition through arthroscopy, your doctor will decide either you need surgery or not; if you needed surgery, your surgeon will insert special tool through another camera; that tool is called “PORTAL” they will use them to cut, shave grasp and anchor stitches in bone. If your surgeon decides you need open surgery to fix the problem, they may do it at the same time as your arthroscopic surgery. Afterwards, they will remove all arthroscopic attachments. They will close the wound with special tape or stitches.
