Reasons Why Cold Weather Affect Joints

Many types of research point to barometric pressure rather than temperature single as the governing cause of weather-related joint discomfort. Barometric pressure is the “weight” of the Earth’s atmosphere. It alters locally because of pressure systems that influence climate and rain. The Arthritis Foundation infers that these differences, like a cold or warm beginning moving in, can have the chief impact on the joints. So it’s not only the cold but rather changes in air pressure that induce difficulties.  Some experts suggest that decreases in barometric pressure cause tendons, muscles, and surrounding tissues expand, putting pressure on joints. Others infer lower temperatures may expand the viscosity of the synovial fluid that cushions the joints, slowing it down and prohibiting it from doing its job. Lifestyle and mental health components can also come into play. Workout often decreases in winter, implying less movement and more immobility in the joints.  Some of the other theories w
