Knee arthroscopy is a surgical procedure that is generally used to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions of the knee joint. In this procedure a small scope is inserted by the surgeon that is called an arthroscope, this arthroscope is entered into the knee joint that allows the doctor to view the perfect condition of the joint and to examine whatever the condition is and helps the doctor to how to proceed further. The arthroscope is inserted without making any large incision or cutting through the skin or any other soft tissues. This camera is generally used to display the picture or the video of the procedure. The main advantage of arthroscopic surgery is that it's done using surgical instruments that are thin and uses very small incisions for the surgery rather than any other open surgery.
